At the end of 2016 Tania Picado began to study how to strengthen the safety of women travelers. From 2016 to 2017 she conducted an exhaustive market study through online exclusive groups of female travelers. She also analyzed the behavior of these and that the same pattern was repeated: fear. This only corroborated that the freedom to travel is also colored by gender inequality.

TripWoman, an app and platform for women travelers, started in that way: with the aim of minimizing these fears through an international barrier of feminine protection.
